Pediatric Solutions

Designed to Go the Extra Mile for Your Youngest Patients
Orfit offers a full range of products specifically designed for pediatric patients. This range includes base plates, head supports, and thermoplastic masks, all carefully developed to meet the unique needs of children up to 12 years old. Every product in the pediatric range upholds the same high standards of quality, precision, and safety as our adult immobilization devices.
At Orfit, supporting your youngest patients is our highest priority — helping you go the extra mile in their care means everything to us.
Thermoplastic Masks
For your youngest patients, Orfit's thermoplastic masks provide high precision, reproducibility, and comfort, supporting them in receiving the best care during treatment. We suggest using the small masks for patients between 0 and 5 years old and the medium masks for patients from 6 to 12 years old. Based on the anatomy of the patient, a larger or smaller mask might be ne eded.

Pediatric Hardware
In addition to our high-quality masks, we offers a range of Pediatric Hardware—including baseplates and head supports—designed to meet your patient’s needs and align seamlessly with your clicial workflows.
The AIO Solution 3.0 also includes baseplates specifically designed for pediatric patients.
Each element is designed to work together for maximum reproducibility and minimal motion.

Transforming Fear: Using mask decoration to ease anxiety
Did you know that painting or decorating the mask can help reduce feelings of anxiety and claustrophobia? It might even prevent the need for anesthesia.
Orfit's sticker sheet was specifically designed to decorate radiotherapy masks. These stickers are ideal for a quick and colorful decoration of thermoplastic masks.
Children can get as creative as they want. Encourage them to mix and match or add on to the stickers with crayons or a water-based colored pen. A fun idea is to write the first letter of the patient’s name in the superhero logo or crown sticker.

A little while ago we noticed one of our patients, a 5-year-old girl, wasn’t able to relax on the treatment couch. Which made positioning and imaging of her bony anatomy difficult. Since she was quite fond of princesses, I decided to decorate her mask in a princess theme. Afterward, she was noticeably more comfortable, enabling the treatment procedure to run much more smoothly.
